Team
Quite a few plants live under our roof. Our team also consists of many homegrown talents.
A hotel needs a wide range of talents to make guests feel comfortable. Our guiding principle works both ways:
we deploy our employees (we are an all-women team, by the way) where they can best contribute their talent and skills. Whether this is temporary or permanent staff. Or people with and without disabilities. Because we are a social integration enterprise (you can find out more about this here).

Our parent company is called Sinn & Gewinn Hotels – which means meaningful yet profitable work. For all four hotels in the company (three in Zurich, one in Lausanne), this is not an empty promise, it’s a promise kept.

History
The Alma Hotel is Sinn & Gewinn Hotels’ oldest and yet youngest hotel. It was opened in 2000 as a women-only hotel under the name LADY’s FIRST Hotel. Since the end of 2002, the hotel has also welcomed men.
